Privacy
This policy explains how Renova handles your information. Renova is operated by Renova Industries Pty Ltd (ABN 18 698 191 178, ACN 698 191 178), Australia. Contact us at hello@renovaplan.au.
What we collect
- Details you enter about your renovation, such as the spaces, sizes, finishes and scope.
- Your name and email address, so we can deliver your plan and respond to you.
- If you buy a Detailed plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, but we do not see or store your full card details.
- If you send us a quick job, the job details, suburb and contact details you give us. We only share these with the trade you are matched with.
- If you are a trade or mortgage broker and register interest, the business details you give us (name, business, trade or brokerage, state, area, ABN, licence number, insurance confirmation, email and phone).
- If you give feedback on a plan, your rating and comments, and whether you are happy for us to quote you (first name and suburb only).
- If you choose to share your final renovation costs from Ledger, the cost figures and general project details you send. This is sent without your name or email.
How we use it
- To generate your renovation plan and email it to you.
- To provide support if you contact us, and to contact trades and brokers who registered interest about joining Renova.
- To improve our service, including our price ranges. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
- We do not send you marketing emails unless you have agreed to receive them, and every marketing email will include a way to unsubscribe.
Who we share it with
To run the service we use a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf:
- Stripe handles payments.
- Netlify hosts the site and stores trade, broker and quick-job forms.
- OpenAI processes the project details and quotes you enter to generate plans and quote checks.
- Google provides website analytics.
- Resend delivers your plan and emails to you.
Some of these providers may store or process information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. By using Renova you consent to that overseas processing. We only share what is needed to deliver your plan.
Storage and security
We keep your information only as long as needed to deliver your plan and meet our business and record-keeping obligations, and we take reasonable steps to protect it.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are visited and which buttons are clicked, so we can improve Renova. It uses cookies and does not tell us who you are. You can block these cookies in your browser settings.
Quote checker
When you upload or paste a quote, its text or images are sent to OpenAI so it can be checked. Renova does not keep a copy. Remove anything you don't want shared, such as bank details, before uploading.
Renova Ledger
Ledger stores your budget, spends, quotes and receipt photos in your own browser, on your device. It is not sent to Renova and we cannot see it, unless you choose to share your final costs. If you unlock paid features, only your unlock code is checked by our server. Clearing your browser data deletes it, so download a backup from the Ledger menu from time to time.
Access and correction
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@renovaplan.au and we will help.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published here.
