If something goes wrong

We only promise what we can actually do.

Renova isn't your builder and doesn't hold your money. Here's exactly what the tools do for you.

Gaps flagged before you sign

Missing waterproofing, low allowances, no payment schedule. Caught while you can still negotiate.

Payments checked against the work

Deposits over the cap and claims ahead of the work are flagged when you check a claim, before you pay.

Compliance checkpoints

Asbestos test, waterproofing certificate, electrical and plumbing compliance, each tied to its stage in your plan.

Free tool

Already got a quote? Check it first.

Upload a PDF or photo of a trade or builder's quote, or paste the text, and Renova will flag what's commonly missing or too vague to rely on, things like waterproofing, permit fees, or a "tiling" line with no area stated. It won't judge the price, only whether the quote is complete enough to sign.

Quick jobs

FAQ

Good questions.

How does Renova work?

It's all self-serve. Answer a few questions about your space, your home and your budget, and Renova builds a plan with a low, base and high cost, the order of works, what you can DIY and the risks to watch. You can then check any quote you get against it.

How accurate are the prices?

They're indicative ranges, not quotes. They're anchored to real Perth renovation costs and published industry figures, and every plan shows what it assumes, what it excludes and how confident it is. See how we estimate. Always get quotes from licensed trades before you commit.

Who pays Renova? Do trades pay you?

Homeowners can use the free plan and quote checker at no cost, and the Detailed plan is a one-off $28.95. We take no cut from trades on your job, so our guidance stays independent and fair to both sides.

Does Renova hold my money or guarantee the price?

No. Renova isn't a builder and doesn't hold funds. We help you check quotes, deposits and progress claims against your plan so you can avoid paying for work that isn't done. Your contract is always between you and your trade.

Is this financial or legal advice?

No. Renova gives planning guidance to help you ask the right questions. For contracts, permits and structural work, talk to a registered builder, building surveyor or lawyer.

Where does Renova work?

Plans and the quote checker work anywhere in Australia, with costs adjusted for your state. Trades can register from anywhere in Australia. Quick jobs are live in Perth first, and we open each new city once enough local trades have joined.

What if my plan is wrong?
